Popping up on the F/W 2017 runways, we saw so many different beauty trends take center stage. From shimmery eyeliners and shadows in bold and metallic hues, to lived-in lipsticks and major statement hair. There’s no reason to be shy this season! Pout with Power
Make an impact this season, and not just with your age-old classics, we mean every color in the rainbow! Lips were bold with plenty of notice-me color. At Ellis James Designs, we love a good lipstick, and we love the fearless shades we saw on this season’s runways.
Channel your inner ‘90s grunge girl with a matte brown shade, and if you dare, pair with a matchy brown eye for the ultimate cool-girl style. We just cannot wait to try this trend out.
We all know a matte red lip is timeless, and a classic rouge will give you that quintessential old-Hollywood glam appeal. To reinvent your red, pair it with the no make-up look so the timeless shade becomes that much more striking.
A deep purple or berry shade is the preferred color of ‘It’ models like Gigi, Kendall and Bella, so go glam goth this season as dark shades are here to stay.
The Eyes Have It

Go-glam ‘60s eyelashes were fanned out and fluttered to make them go on for days. Bold and obvious, falsies were applied slightly spaced apart on the lowers for some instant Twiggy appeal. Go the extra mile and get extra credit when you pair this trend with vampy lips.

Bobs, pixie cuts, boho braids and low, nape-grazing styles – these were just some of the hairstyles we saw on the runways this season.
Sculptural buns or a low pony worn at the nape of the neck will be this season’s go-to hairstyle. Simple and dreamy, if you want to tap into this trend just tie your hair back and twist, or let it hang loose and sleek. If you like small, girly braids, then go and add this fun dimension to your hair for an eclectic boho look.
The ‘90s are back in a big, big way, with luxe hair accessories and upgrades to step up your hair game. From an eclectic mix of clips and jewels, to velvet ribbons delicately tied around long ponytails, these simple adornments add a touch of romance and femininity.
Want to keep your no-nonsense hairstyle from summer into the new season? Then do it. Bobs have transitioned to lobs, and pixie cuts will always be in style. If you are feeling adventurous, try the shorn head look.
