Women lead busy lives. Despite work, perhaps children, and constant postponing, you’re finally going on that trip with your girls. You’re ecstatic and can’t think straight. There are a million things you need to pack, but you don’t know which ones or where they go.
We all go through this exciting process of shopping and packing, but the real challenge lies in knowing precisely what you need to take the limited space of your large travel makeup organizer.
Forgot your favorite shirt for the trip? Don’t worry! Your girlfriends have your back. But what about your toothbrush, shampoo, or sanitary items?
We’ve got you covered with an extensive checklist of what goes in a toiletry organizer bag!

Checklist for Oral Hygiene
We start our toiletry essential checklist with oral hygiene items because you wouldn’t want to brush your teeth with your finger or find yourself without floss when you have food stuck in your teeth.
o, for a thoroughly hygienic trip, these should go in your toiletry bag as a priority:
Toothbrush
You don’t need something fancy, its best to go as simple as possible.
Don’t forget to pack a toothbrush cover or case so that your other things won’t get wet!
To save space, try packing a foldable brush.
Floss
Floss is not only crucial for oral health but can also come in handy for (get this) fixing or sewing things.
Keep some floss in your purse and your toiletry bag for those unexpected moments.
Toothpaste
It’s better to have the one you already use rather than using those that are given in the hotel.
You can go with travel-sized tubes, toothpaste tablets, and even sachets — your teeth will thank you.
Mouthwash
This is pretty optional as long as you brush your teeth properly, but good to pack in as well if you have space.
Save your bag from future liquid-spilling accidents and opt for mouthwash tablets that you dilute in reusable bottles — travel light and stay fresh.
Checklist for Face and Body Care
This checklist can go on forever depending upon individual needs.
However, if you want to know how to pack a toiletry bag for carry-on with limited space, this checklist can help you organize everything better.
Soap/Body Wash
No matter how pretty and fresh the hotel soap may smell, it’s advisable go with your own products when it comes to body hygiene. Not that the hotel products are bad, but you never know what you could be allergic to.
If you are taking a liquid body wash, take small reusable bottles. And if you want to cut back on liquids, then we recommend to go with a soap bar.
Shampoo/Conditioner
Want to travel light? Then go for a 2-in-1 product as it will save you a heap of space and lower potential leakage.
You can also opt for dry shampoo spray or bars like those from Lush. But if you want to stick to your regular products, then use small reusable bottles and fill them with your regular shampoo and conditioner.
Face Wash/Cleanser
Another important traveling product that everyone needs and can’t compromise on is face wash.
Again, try going for a multi-purpose product to save space or make do with small product tubes.
Razor/Shaving Cream
This is a trip of a lifetime, so not being out there having fun in the sun is not an option.
For a toiletries list for ladies, a disposable razor and a small shaving cream tube are a must.
However, if you’ve had a good wax and can go for a week or two without shaving, then you have a win-win solution.

Sunscreen
No matter your skin type, one should never forget this item while traveling anywhere – even when traveling in winter. Sunscreen is imperative in skin care as it protects your skin from UV rays, both during day and nighttime
Save on space by using a tinted moisturizer with SPF!
Moisturizer
Don’t let your skin get thirsty even on a holiday. Moisturizing is a very important part of not just your skin care but of your overall routine.
Take into consideration the kind of weather you’ll be traveling to when picking what type of moisturizer to bring! Summer products are different from winter products, and you should be aware of how to adapt.
Checklist for Extra Items
We’ve covered all the basics for what goes in a toiletry bag as a traveling lady, but there are always a few extra things you might need.
So here is an extended toiletry packing list to check out before going on a trip.
Cotton Pads/Makeup Wipes
These always come in handy, especially at the end of a long day, so it is better to pack a few of these in your toiletry bag.
Hairbrush and Hair ties
Pack a small comb or hairbrush in your bag.
Add a few hair ties, hairbands, bobby pins, clips, etc.
This will help you keep your locks at bay wherever you are, especially if you find yourself having a bad hair day.
Reusable swabs
Don’t forget to add reusable cotton swabs to your toilet bag. They are tiny and it will be super easy to wash them with soap and water.

Deodorant/Perfume
Pack a small bottle of each to keep yourself smelling good everyday.
Spritz some cologne or body mist on yourself to refresh yourself after a long day under the sun!
Lotion/Hand Sanitizer
Buy a travel-sized bottle for each of these. You can also try using refillable pump bottles with your favorite products.
Organizing Your Toiletry Bag
Even though the checklist contains many products, you’d be surprised to know how much you can put in a small toiletry bag. If you don’t like adding bulk, but you need to fit everything in, then we recommend something like the Quilted Hanging Toiletry Organizer.
It’s durable, sophisticated, and extra roomy with a detachable pouch and an exterior pocket. It’s a water-resistant toiletry bag with a hook design that allows you to fill and organize all your travel-sized essentials without compromising the available space you have.
If you want to know how you pack toiletries easily and accessibly, then this bag is the answer.
